The imposing entrance to Australia’s only replica medieval castle located in Ballarat. This photo was my entry to the March 2014 Clique photography challenge with the topic being “Building and Monuments”. Medieval Europe is one of my favorite historical era, with the Samurai period of Japan being the other. Kryal castle has been restored back to its original intention, recreating medieval events and on the day we were there tourists were flocking to the attraction again.
