Blazing Tulips

My family and I recently attended a Tulip Festival at Silvan, which is east of Melbourne, near the Dandenong ranges.

Melbourne has always been very finicky with weather, and as luck would have it, it turned out to be a perfect weather day. The sun was out but the temperature was rather comfortable, and as usual a hat and sunscreen would be a wise order for the day.

There were throngs of people at the festival but combined with a great atmosphere of activities, food, and music in the background as well as staff in their traditional Danish attire complete with clogs, a fun day was to be had. There was even a tractor carriage that lets willing and paying festival goers to have a leisurely cruise around the fields.

The fields and rows of colorful Tulips plantation made for a delightful and abundance of photo opportunities. Often I would see a number of people getting amongst the tulips to attempt at  that perfect selfie photo.

My chosen feature photo for this blog however was the tulips that caught my eye. The blazing colors of the petals with its bold brightness as it distinguishes itself against the bright lit day let alone the crowd of human tourism, was truly outstanding. Even as I gaze at the image, I walk away with its vision still firmly implanted in my mind of the blazing field of this colorful and bold Tulips.

I hope you enjoyed my quick blog on the Tulip Festival 2015. Please feel free to leave a comment, or sign up to continue to follow my photo blogging adventures.

Thank you.
